Our Elf is Arriving on a Rocketship

I’m back!! I know I have been MIA all Summer! There has been so much going on in my house that I have not had a chance to create any goodies for you until now. So, what is it? A Elf on the Shelf Rocket Ship!

First, let me start by sharing with you that I am finally a certified Pilates Instructor, woo hooo! It took me over a year, but I am so glad to finally be done and feel such a big sense of accomplishment.

Second, I am finalizing the details to my all new 2014 Everyday Planner! I added so many details and options to this years planner, that I am sure you will LOVE. And since you are here, how about a sneak peek:

2014 Every Day Planner Printables Sneak Peak

Don’t you just love it! I am so excited in getting it printed and bounded. You will have about 18 or so - cover options, a meal planner option, write-in sections to customize, pre-filled weekly and monthly dates and so much more. I have also updated my contact list printable, weekly meal planner, and other printables as well. Isn’t it wonderful! :)

Now on to the Elf…

Last year we incorporated “Buddy” the elf into our family. It was so much fun for my kids to find him every morning in a different place, and my husband and I had a blast finding new and funny things for him to do.

We can’t wait for him to arrive this year, and my boys have already started to ask me when and how he gets here. Well this year he is planning on making a blast of a entrance. He is getting here on rocket ship!

My son’s first year of Kindergarten has come to an end. It is such a bitter-sweet feeling to know that it is almost over. He has learned so much in such a short time. Time just passes by in lightning speed and I am just trying to cherish every little moment. Just as my son has been learning this first year, so have I. I have learned that my 24 hr days actually feels more like 8. I need to take short cuts with everyday tasks so I can enjoy my time with my kids, and every bit helps. I have created a cute, fast, and convenient way to send a note with your child to school.

Cleaning Schedule

Cleaning, it’s something we all have to do. And although I love to organize, cleaning is not something I look forward to doing. Let’s face it, unless you have some kind of cleaning schedule, everything tends to add up in the end of the week and then you have to spend a whole day cleaning. Cleaning all day = no fun!

We are fresh into the new year. With that said, I promised myself this year was going to be my “cleanest” year ever. So here is what I have done so far:

Cleaning Schedule

First I sat down and wrote down everything that I needed to do to get the house in order and clean. Then I split those chores up during the week.

This is what that looks like:

I decided to print and laminate my list so I can check off the chore once it’s done and be able to erase and reuse the following week.

Unfortunately while I printed I noticed something my husband has been pointing out for a while. I need a new printer.

The colors are no longer coming out as vibrant as I would like, but finding a new printer can be a headache.

As far as the schedule download grab it here:

Get in my Caddy

Once I got my cleaning schedule ready, I came up with a solution for easier transitions from one room to the next.

A cleaning caddy!

All I need now is some nifty cleaning gloves and with all my cleaning products in one place, I am ready to get at it!

Is it Spring Yet?

Nope, not until March but in the meantime I found something to help you get prepared for this wonderful time of the year! A spring cleaning checklist from Martha Stewart. Not only does she tackle the cleaning checklist but she also shares tips and tricks on how to do additional stuff like patch a screen. Cool Stuff.

That’s it. I’m ready to tackle the mess. Cleaning doesn’t seem as bad as it did before.

I will make sure and keep you updated on switching to green products. As of now I am in love with the Method & J.R. Watkins products. Now if I can switch all of my kitchen produce to Organics and greens we would be in a much better place. What kind of products do you use? Do you make your own, or use green products? Do you have a favorite printer that prints vibrant colors???
