Here is a quick DIY project my husband and I came up with to store Bracelets.
You will need:
- plastic plumbing pipe cut to desired length
- cute wrapping paper
- tape or mod podge
- candle holder or small serving plate
First you cut a plastic pvc pipe down to desired size. Mine is 1 ft tall.
Then cover it with some cute wrapping paper and tape it down with clear packing tape or Mod podge it down.
Lastly, place your tube on top of a candle holder or small serving plate so it can catch the bracelets at the base. You can also place small items on the plate such as rings or earings.
Yay the time has come. I am ready to share my first home organizing project with you. Now let me set something straight. My husband and I don’t own our home just yet, and we live in an apartment nestled in beautiful Carmel Valley, San Diego. That go’s to show you that no matter where you live, if you want to get organized in every aspect of your life, you can! Today’s project: Under the sink bathroom storage
So, here it is…
I got a little excited and took everything out without taking a previous picture but this is the way to start in any project.
- Start clean - Take everything out. Wipe everything down, that includes bottles, boxes, bags, etc.
- Get rid of unnecessary items - Toss any items that are expired, unused, or donate items that are in good condition. If you have items that can be repurposed for something else then set aside to store elsewhere.
- Stay on budget - Organizing can get very expensive, so stay within your capabilities. Repurpose boxes by wrapping the with gift wrap paper or use jars from food that have been emptied and cleaned.
I placed all my feminine products in a wicker basket I already owned. Easier to get to when that time of the month comes around and I can also visually keep track of when I am running low.
I bought these clear plastic bags in a dollar store as a set and separated items into traveling products and sun care items so I can easily place in my beach bag. The third bag has all my nail care Items.
The second wicker basket has miscellaneous items from hair care, to scents, to lotions. My brushes are placed in a glass ikea vase also previously owned.
The clear plastic box shown on the left will be the new home to my makeup. It cost me around 15 dollars many year ago, and has remained unused for the majority of the time. It will be perfect. Items used daily I placed in the front.
Now my husband’s side.
His side is a little bit different. To be honest, he does not use to many bath products. The T-P is placed in a very accessible location, out of the bags so it won’t be difficult to grab. We buy a lot of stock items at Costco so we need to keep them orderly. Some bath cleaning items are placed here for storage as well, because we are limited in closet space.
Quick Tip: If you place like items one in front of each other they will look more organized.
I also keep some of my kids bath items here, but they will be moved in a later kids bath project.
Tell me, what is your biggest concern or problem with bathroom storage?
I have been a busy bee all week! I have been working on new printables and exciting new additions… I have also been enjoying some fresh weather here in San Diego after what seems to be a Summer that just does not want to go away. I love sweaters, jackets, scarves and cold weather. Maybe it’s because we don’t have it that often, but that has been one of my main reasons for considering moving to the San Francisco Bay area.
Any hoo I thought I would share a couple of pictures of my boys in their Halloween costumes.
They look so cute and I just loved their costumes this year. For all of you who do not know, it’s from the book/movie where the wild things are.
Here is one of each of them close up… Aren’t they the cutest! :)
I also love the location: It is Torrey Pines State park in San Diego it is nestled away in between Del Mar and La Jolla, and definitely a place to visit if you are ever in San Diego.
What are you dressing up as for halloween?

Long long ago….when I was in high school , our school would provide us with a planner to write everything down that we needed to get done during our school year.
I was secretly in LOVE with mine. I would use tons of different pens, stickers, even tape down pictures into it. I have been a sucker for pretty planners ever since! Although I use my smart phone calendar, I don’t fully love it as much as writing everything down.
With 2013 upon us, if you don’t already have yourself a planner and love a cute yet fully functional printable planner, you are going to fall in love my recent printable creation!
Why my printable 2013 planner works to keep you organized:
- Time Management - If your like me, you are running around all day like a mad woman getting everything done. With a plan, you know where and when you have to be at all times!
- Prioritize - When you have everything written down, you will automatically prioritize what definitely needs to get done first.
- Less Distractions - When you need to get things done and you realize it, you will get less distracted with other things that may get in the way, like Facebook or Pinterest.
- Taking on to much? - Sometimes you don’t realize it and you keep adding on more and more activities to your day. We need a break! See what activities you can set aside for when you have free time and get organized with your time. Make some time to RELAX.
- Daily, Weekly, Monthly - There are things we need to do everyday, twice a week, and once a month. How will you ever remember everything! Uhh with “My Everyday Planner”!

I have my printable 2013 planner and my organized home binder split into two. Why, you might ask. The Planner in general does not need to be changed. It does not need pages added or removed and it stays in one place spiral binded nicely. By the way, it only cost me around 5 dollars to bind and a couple dollars to laminate the front and back pages. My binder however gets pages re-printed and added or removed daily. That’s just the way I like it, you are more than welcome to bind them all together or place them all in a binder.
So there you have it. Your very own printable 2013 planner and organization home binder, everything to get yourself organized this following year all bundled up in one. You looking forward to next year yet? Ha Ha Ha You can find these printables available now at my etsy store.
